Peter I Island

Peter I Island is an uninhabited island in the Bellingshausen Sea, over 450 kms from the coast of Antarctica. The highest peak is the 1,640 m high Lars Christensen Peak. Nearly all of the island is covered by a glacier and usually surrounded by pack ice making it inaccessible most of the year.
