Departure Ushuaia

This extraordinary 19-day voyage offers an unparalleled opportunity to explore the Falkland Islands, the breathtaking wilderness of South Georgia, the South Shetland Islands, and the Antarctic Peninsula—encompassing all the highlights of the Southern Ocean.

Departing from Ushuaia, Argentina’s southernmost city, the journey first heads east towards the Falkland Islands (Malvinas). As a British Overseas Territory, the Falklands present a fascinating blend of British culture—complete with tea traditions and red phone boxes—alongside untamed landscapes where penguins roam freely among grazing sheep on historic battlefields.

From the Falklands, the expedition continues onward to South Georgia. This striking island, dominated by jagged, glacier-clad mountains piercing the sky, leaves an unforgettable impression on every visitor. Its shores are teeming with wildlife, featuring thousands of King Penguins, elephant seals, and Antarctic fur seals. The sheer scale of the penguin colonies, seal-covered beaches, and albatross-filled skies is an awe-inspiring spectacle.

As the voyage progresses southward, the expedition delves deeper into the inlets and bays of the Antarctic Peninsula, entering the famed Gerlache Strait, where towering ice cliffs and dramatic peaks rise directly from the icy waters. The landscape is defined by icebergs, glaciers, mountains, and vast snowfields, creating a remote and otherworldly setting. The expedition aims to visit locations that showcase Antarctica’s finest scenery, while always remaining on the lookout for remarkable wildlife encounters. Spectacular landscapes and unforgettable moments are guaranteed.

Every journey through the Southern Ocean is an adventure, but with an average occupancy of 175 guests, Ocean Victory and Ocean Albatros provide an intimate and exclusive experience for a select few. Days are filled with shore landings and Zodiac safaris, offering opportunities to step foot on remote shores and witness wildlife up close. Meanwhile, the expert Expedition Team enhances the journey with specially curated lectures, ensuring an educational and enriching experience.
